Since 1994, I have been helping others to achieve better health and vitality through wellness programs, movement education, and therapeutic bodywork. My unique, integrative approach incorporates a number of modalities to best assist my clients in their healing process. Each session is custom-tailored to meet an individual client's needs at that given time. Please contact me directly to discuss your particular areas of concern and how I may be able to help.
I graduated from the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado's over 1000 hour CMT program in 2001 and am a licensed massage therapist in Colorado. Since 2001, I have completed many additional trainings in an effort to enhance my work and further assist my clients in their healing process. As with the others areas of my practice, I follow a vitalist approach. Rather than tunneling in on an area of discomfort, I instead look at the whole person and work to identify the root cause of the symptoms. To assist this process, I often incorporate my personal training background and wellness counseling skills. We begin each session with an evaluation of postural alignment, and clients are provided with suggestions for exercises, stretches and general self-care release techniques to further support their healing and address any underlying imbalances.

On occasion, specific herbal or nutritional approaches may be indicated for the individual; at the client's option, they may elect to add on a mini herbal and nutritional consult at the end of their massage so that we can address these concerns and recommendations. For more information, click on Herbal & Nutritional Consultations.

My goal is not only to provide relief at that session, but to provide my client with a treatment approach that will produce long-lasting results, as well as tools for self-care to put them in better control of their own vitality and healing process. Though some clients choose to visit weekly simply because they enjoy the work, I would find my work unsuccessful if my clients were dependent upon frequent visits for relief. Though we all experience occasional set backs, for the most part we'd like to see steady progress and improvement, along with a client who becomes confident in using the self-care techniques they've been taught in order to produce relief when the set backs do occur.

Through this unique, integrative approach, I have successfully worked with clients coping with a number of issues, including:
• Chronic Pain, Neck, Back, Hip, Shoulder, & Knee Issues
• Headaches, TMJ, Stress, General Muscle Tension & Spasm
• Irritable Bowel, Menstrual Difficulties, Fertility Challenges
Additionally, I also provide pre-natal, post-partum and infant massage.

Using various modalities, we work with your body to unwind areas of tension, re-educate better balanced movement patterns, and support your body's healing process. Each session is customized to meet your needs on that given day. Modalities I may incorporate include:
• Neuromuscular Therapy
• Myofascial Release
• Deep Tissue
• Positional Release (Ortho-Bionomy)
• portions of Maya Abdominal Massage (Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage Certified Pracitioner)
• Massage Cupping

• Craniosacral therapy
• Hot Stones
• Aromatherapy

Maya Abdominal Massage has been utilized in traditional cultures for many years to address a number of ailments. I completed my Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage (ATMAM) Certified Practitioner training with Rosita Arvigo in 2005. Though I often incorporate portions of ATMAM into massage sessions, a full ATMAM treatment will better address concerns for those working with the following conditions:

  • Fertility challenges
  • Menstrual difficulties, including irregular cycles, cramping, PMS
  • Benign prostate enlargement
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Constipation
  • Low back pain
  • Impotence
  • Hemorrhoids
  • and others

The initial session for ATMAM treatment will take 2 to 2 1/2 hours and includes a full intake with health history, nutritional intake, and further interview to identify patterns of imbalance and possible root causes contributing to the symptoms. We will then complete an evaluation of postural alignment prior to beginning the treatment on the table. The treatment itself is non-invasive, external treatment over the abdomen, back, and hips, as well as other areas of the body typically addressed during a massage session. At the end of the session, the client is instructed how to perform self-care abdominal massage techniques and any other self-care techniques (exercises, stretches, breath work) that are indicated for their particular situation. The client leaves with a packet of information reviewing the self-care technique, directions for vaginal steams (where indicated), directions for castor oil packs (where indicated), and forms for charting their menstrual cycle (packet varies for male clients, obviously). The ATMAM sessions include herbal and nutritional counseling and suggestions pertinent to that particular individual.
Initial session: $125*

Follow-up sessions typically last 75 to 90 minutes and do not follow a set schedule. Ideally, clients are provided with the take-home self-care skills and information they need to comfortably perform the techniques and continue their healing process. For some individuals, they notice changes immediately and progress quite well, not needing to schedule their first follow-up until 2 months or so after their initial intake. For others, they are coping with stubborn scar tissue or more challenging symptoms which require the other ATMAM techniques one cannot perform through self-care alone; these individuals may return within a couple of weeks. In my experience, clients who are committed to regularly performing their self-care and following other recommendations (such as dietary changes, supplements, etc) see a dramatic improvement in their vitality, lessening of their symptoms, and continued progress in their healing process with significantly fewer follow-up visits. Other clients choose to have me perform the ATMAM for them and perform self-care less often; for these clients, we still see progress, but it is much slower going and requires more visits. I will meet you wherever you are and will support whichever direction you choose to follow in your treatment. During follow-up sessions, we will modify the treatment as your progress and body indicates, as well as tweaking the nutritional and herbal recommendations as needed.
Follow-up sessions: $85* (up to 90 minutes)

*Sliding scale fees are available based on financial need. Please contact me, and I will do everything possible to ensure you receive the work you need.

I have found one of the keys to improving the vitality of my clients and ensuring longer-lasting results is through movement education. At each massage session, I assess a client's postural alignment and check for musculoskeletal imbalances. Where possible, we utilize breath work, Pilates exercises, and other exercises and stretches to help the body to unwind, open, and release, preparing itself for the change that is taking place. Clients are provided with take-home movements to further support the release and their body as it begins its shift to position of better balance.

My foundation for the movement education is based upon my degree work in exercise physiology, my multiple personal training and fitness certifications, as well as my certification as a Polestar Pilates Instructor (mat & Allegro).

Movement education is included in each massage session at no additional charge, provided additional time is not required for this segment. Clients can opt to add on time to their session should they desire more time on the table or for movement education. Add-on: $10 per 10 minutes (at client's option, depending on my schedule availability)

Additionally, clients may choose to schedule an appointment specifically for in-depth personal training and movement education. Personal training: $35 for 30 minutes, $65 for one hour
